![]() The Most Efficient
The gasification process is considered the most efficient method of energy conversion into electrical and mechanical energy. With the use of cogeneration, an efficiency of close to twice that found in a conventional power station is attainable. Therefore it has the potential to deliver a large reduction in carbon hydroxide (CO2) emissions, important for climate protection.
As well as being efficient, the gasification process is adjustable to requirements and results in energy that is storable. Additionally, by using biomass as a feed stock the process is considered to be part of a closed loop CO2 system (i.e. Carbon neutral). The amount of carbon dioxide released during energy production is exactly equal to the amount previously used by the living plant to grow through the natural process of photosynthesis.
At A.H.T., based on decades of experience, we can offer a complete system that is reliable for continuous operation over a long period of time. Though based on a standard construction, our equipment may be adapted to each and every client’s individual needs.
Units are available in sizes of 150kW, 250kW and 500kW-5000kW. (See pictures to the right). The client may specify whether the unit is to be locally operated, by a simple robust design or remotely from a centralized location (e.g. DCS). All equipment meets the highest industrial quality standards. All of our manufacturers are ISO9001 certified.
Through the use of our A.H.T. Technology, CO2 emissions may be reduced by a factor of 40-50%. The waste air stream to atmosphere contains ~1mg/m3 fine solids, 50ppm NOX, and less than 100ppm of CO. Our equipment operates within the boundaries specified by TA Luft and generates no additional fine particals.
